Economics Trip

We all live in the Economy. It influences everything we do. Economics will enable you to understand how it works, what the strengths and weaknesses of the system are and ways in which the Economy can be changed to meet the challenging and constantly changing needs of today's world.
To be successful in Economics you need to be observant, to be interested in reasons why things change, to want to understand your potential role within it and to argue your view in a way which keeps to the rules but can persuade.

Economics at King's School is only offered at A-Level and we follow the OCR specification.

ADVANCED LEVEL

The Economics AS level has two compulsory modules:

Module 1 Markets in Action
Module 2 The National and International Economy

Students who continue on to A2 level also complete a further two modules:

Module 3 Economics of Work and Leisure
Module 4 The Global Economy

The question style in Economics is usually based on an unseen case study where students must apply, analyse and evaluate within a specific scenario.
