Paid employment can provide you with beneficial ‘life skills’ as well as allowing you to start making some financial provisions for university. However, before you commit yourself to employment you need to consider the following:-
- Your other extra curricular commitments
- Unpaid work experience related to your career destination or voluntary work may prove more beneficial to you long term
- Research indicates that any more than 9 hours a week adversely affects examination results.
- Your family circumstances
