Head of Department for I.T. and Computing (MPS/UPS & TLR2B)

Our current Head of Department is retiring and we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Head of Department for I.T. and Computing to join us from September 2022.  This is a prime opportunity for a well-qualified and committed teacher to make significant contributions to the strategic direction and development of a successful department.  This exciting role offers opportunities for progression and would suit an aspiring middle leader who would like to further develop their career or an experienced teacher.  A full induction and CPD support programme will be made available to the successful candidate.

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and as this post is considered to be ‘regulated activity’, a check through the Disclosure and Barring Service including the children’s barred list.

Successful applicants must be familiar with, and comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, child protection and promote the welfare of students.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules, see in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
