Teacher of Business MPS/UPS
Due to promotion of the current post holder, we are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Business. This role would suit an experienced teacher wishing to further develop their career or a committed ECT looking to get their career off to a good start. A full induction and CPD support programme will be made available to the successful candidate.
Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and as this post is considered to be ‘regulated activity’, a check through the Disclosure and Barring Service including the children’s barred list.
Successful applicants must be familiar with, and comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, child protection and promote the welfare of students.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules, see https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dbs-filtering-guidance) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.

Whilst a closing date for applications has been set, we reserve the right to interview and appoint a suitable candidate prior. This being the case we would encourage early applications for the post.
