UK Senior Mathematical Challenge 2013

Four Sixth Form students represented the School at the 2013 Regional Final in Lincoln on the 22 November.  They achieved second out of 24 teams. In the individual competition nine students achieved a Gold certificate, putting them in the top 10% of all entrants nationally.

Conor Coyle, Alex Scorror, Ross McIntyre and Nathan Peters represented the school at the Regional Final of the UK Senior Mathematical Challenge in Lincoln and achieved second place out of 24 teams.  This is a great result which may see them through to the National Finals as best runners-up. 

In the individual competition nine students achieved a Gold certificate, putting them in the top 10% of all entrants in the country and of these, six got through to the next round of the competition.  Ben Willey, Conor Coyle, Jack Shennan, Matthew Barnfield and Nathan Peters all qualified for the Senior Kangaroo competition. 

Ross McIntyre achieved the highest score in school and qualified for the British Maths Olympiad.
