The King's School is looking to appoint a part-time science technician (biology) to join our team.

Contract Type - Permanent  |  Contract Term - Part-Time  |  Salary - GLEA Grade 5 (Pro-rata)  |  Membership of Local Government Pension Scheme

Negotiable part time role on the basis of 0.5 to 0.6 (18.5 to 22.5 hours per week) 39 weeks per year

GLEA Grade 5 Points 12 to 15 (£25,119 to £27,803 on full-time basis)

We are looking to appoint a part time Science Technician for our Biology Department, to start from September 2024. The post would suit a candidate with experience in this field, although other relevant experience would be considered, and full training would be given to a successful candidate.

Excellent attention to detail, practicality and outstanding problem-solving skills are essential for this post.  It is important that the candidate has a ‘can-do’ attitude, is able to work efficiently in a busy environment and can successfully prioritise their workload to meet deadlines.
