Consultation on Admission Policy for entry in 2027 to 2028

The School is consulting with regard to the admission policy for entry in the academic year 2027 to 2028 from 06 October until 17 November 2025. 

During the consultation period, the Draft Admission Policy for entry in the academic year 2027 to 2028 will be available to view and download from Admission Policies.

If you have any comments on the proposed policy, these should be forwarded electronically to Louise Bremner or by mail to Miss L C Bremner, The Admissions Officer, The King's School, Brook Street, Grantham NG31 6RP, by 17 November 2025.

Final determination of the policy for entry in the academic year 2027 to 2028 will be completed by the Governing Body by 28 February 2026. All comments made during the consultation period will be reviewed by the Governing Body prior to determination of the policy.

Other non-material changes include further clarification on:

• Admission of children outside their normal age group
• Internal Applicants who are refused a place in Sixth Form
• Children who are eligible for full Pupil Premium
