Pupils will learn about the causes of WWI and how it was fought.

They will learn why women got the vote in 1918.

Hitler and Stalin

Pupils will compare Hitler and Stalin in terms of why they came to power, method of control and the extent of change they implemented.

Spring Term
1

Spanish Civil War

World War Two

Pupils will learn about the Spanish Civil War. Pupils will learn about the causes of WWII and how it was fought and what Britain’s role was in the Allies’ victory.

Holocaust

Pupils will learn about the Holocaust and other genocides in the 20th Century.

Summer Term
1

Decline of the British Empire

Pupils will study an overview of why the Empire ended.

Medicine Through Time

Pupils will understand how medicine has developed from 1000 to modern day.
