The Religious Revolution 1533-1603

Pupils will learn about the religious changes and their impact that occurred across Europe and in England.

The English Revolution 1603-1689 & Medicine Through Time

Pupils will learn about the causes of the Civil War and its aftermath. Pupils will learn about the events of 1689 and the response of the Irish and Scottish people. Pupils will learn about the medical advancements that occur during this period.

Spring Term
1

The French Revolution

Pupils will learn about the causes, events and consequences of the French Revolution.

Industrial Revolution

Pupils will learn about the changes in industry and agriculture which occurred between 1750 and 1900 and evaluate the impact of these changes.

Summer Term
1

Industrial Revolution & Medicine Through Time

Pupils will learn about the changes in industry and agriculture which occurred between 1750 and 1900 and evaluate the impact of these changes.  Pupils will learn about the medical advancements that occur during this period.

The British Empire and Slave Trade

Pupils will learn about why Britain had an empire and will evaluate its impact. Pupils will learn about the reasons for the slave trade and why it was abolished.
