Treasurers Report

A copy of the report was circulated to the group and appended to these minutes. The items of note are:

  • The bank balance as of 22 April 2026, stands at £10,294.47.
  • Revenue raised YTD £6,746
  • School support so far £1,579.

Simon thanked the PTFA for another successful Chocfest event. The Chocfest revenue this year was £397.76.

Gold Club Card report

Vicki reported that online banking is fully operational.

The account balance is £7,870.50 with a view to transfer £4k to the main account.

Second Hand Uniform

The new starter evening will be held on Monday, 6 July 2026, the PTFA will require helpers on the night to sell uniforms and SumUp machines to accept payment.

The quality of the new blazers were raised, issues include sleeves are too short and the fabric is too thin.

Marketing and social media

Update expected at the next meeting.

Choc Fest

Was a huge success and thank you to all.

PFTA Ball

Confirmed date of 10 October 2026, with a venue of The Masonic Hall to be finalised.

Simon reported that the school will be launching a new website and introducing a new payment system to replace TicketSource, which currently charges 7% per transaction. The new system is expected to be more cost-effective.

AOB

Nick Grande has stepped down from the PTFA. The group thanked him for his valued contributions over the years.

Stripe account. Action - Benita to liaise with Adam to enable her and Kerry to have full administrator access. There should be at least two PTFA members with access. Please also enable Louise Bremner access to the account. 

Tamsin met with Grantham House, owned by the National Trust, this is a potential venue for future PTFA events.

Future Milestone Events

2027 is the 300th anniversary of the death of Isaac Newton, and this will be a big event, locally and nationally. The school are in talks with various organisations to celebrate this, and the PTFA will undoubtedly be involved.
